Young supporters put the fun into fundraising for Norwood

On 10th June, with the rain at bay, Norwood hosted its first combined Junior Bike Ride, Toddlerthon and Fun Day, sponsored by cycle shop Giant Radlett. From tots to teens, over 450 cycling enthusiasts took part in either a 5 mile or 10 mile off-road adventure, while under fours also joined in the fun by taking part in a Toddlerthon. The event is on target to raise £60,000 towards Norwood’s vital work with people with learning disabilities, and children and families in need.

Despite the cold and wet weather, residents, staff and volunteers at Norwood’s Ravenswood Village were joined by The Mayor of Wokingham, Cllr Bob Wyatt, to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of their Patron, Her Majesty the Queen.

M&A Business Network raises £40,000 for Norwood

Norwood’s M&A Network has firmly established itself as a key industry initiative, providing unique opportunities to network whilst raising money for Norwood and its life-changing services. Its third event held last night raised a record £40,000, for the Charity's vital work. 130 professionals from the mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance industries attended the fundraiser at Le Meridien Hotel, which was generously sponsored by J.P. Morgan and FTI Consulting.

The impact of the current recession and Euro crisis on the British economy was amongst a range of topics up for debate at the YN Business, Finance & Entrepreneurs committee’s first dinner last night. More than 200 young professionals attended the fundraiser at Le Méridien Hotel Piccadilly, which raised over £44,000 for Norwood.

Fundraisers pound the pavements in aid of Norwood

Fundraisers supporting Norwood made the most of the sunshine on Sunday for the Norwood 10 Bridges walk. The 6.5 or 13-mile journey, starting near Vauxhall Bridge, and finishing beyond Tower Bridge, raised more than £15,000 for the Charity, which supports people with learning disabilities and children and families in need.
