Hardy Norwood Golfers raise £40,000 in rain

Around 80 golfers clubbed together yesterday to help raise £40,000 for Norwood at its annual Golf Day. Held at Dyrham Park Country Club in Barnet, the event generated vital funds to support Norwood’s life-changing work with people with learning disabilities, and children and families in need.

Norwood homes well ahead of the National average for compliance with standards of care.

On Monday, the Quality Care Commission (QCC) published a report which stated that almost half (48%) of learning disability residential services did not meet Government standards for care and welfare. 145 impromptu inspections of NHS, private care and social care services took place, as a follow up to the mistreatment uncovered by the BBC Panorama programme at Winterbourne View Hospital in Bristol in 2011.

Tweet Elite raise £30,000 for Norwood at YN Lawyers debate

Over 170 young professionals attended the seventh annual YN Lawyers event last night at the London Film Museum. The event, entitled ‘The Law v Social Media’, raised an incredible £30,000 for Norwood’s vital services supporting adults with learning disabilities and children and families in need.
