Corporate volunteers are friends in weed as they spruce up Norwood’s Somers Court residence’s gardens

Ten volunteers from Urban Exposure spent the day volunteering at Norwood’s Somers Court residence in Edgware on Tuesday, 20 April. Directors, partners and staff from the development finance provider turned gardeners for the day, as they planted, weeded and helped to transform the garden alongside the residents.

Gillian Glaser, a resident at Somers Court, said: “It was so enjoyable to work with them. We swept up the dirt and cleared away the weeds. I just want to say thanks very much for the plants and doing the garden”

Daljit Sandhu, COO of Urban Exposure, added: “It’s great for our company to give back. Our staff feel they are part of a greater contribution to wider society and local community. It was a good day. Everyone was away from their desks and even lunch with the residents was entertaining and meaningful.”
