On this iconic London to Brighton Cycle Ride, leave the buzz of the city behind and join thousands of fellow cyclists as you face the challenge of a 55-mile journey on two wheels, from the heart of London to the buzzing Brighton seafront!

Over 4,000 riders will make their way through the idyllic English countryside putting their pedals to the test on Ditchling Beacon before gliding down to Brighton to cross the finish line and celebrate their success. On your way, stop at the picturesque village of Turners Hill for lunch, stay hydrated at water stops along the route and take advantage of stationary and roaming mechanical support to keep you on course to the finish line.

Frequently Asked Questions
How fit do I need to be?

The London to Brighton cycle ride is challenging but achievable, but to enjoy it we do recommend you get out on your bike beforehand! The more you train, the more fun it will be.

What kit do I need to bring?

We recommend you have a well serviced, comfortable bike – it doesn’t have to be anything special. Some cyclists may well be on high end, road or gravel bikes and chip time will be important, but this is a ride you take at your own pace! You can even cycle it on a tandem or ebike. It is essential you are wearing a helmet and you may like a small bike bag attached to the frame to carry those small essential items.

Is there an age restriction?

You will need to be 16 over, but there is no upper age limit – you just need to ensure you’re fit enough to take part and if in doubt, please check with your doctor first.

Is transport provided back to London at the end of the ride?

Transport for both yourself (by coach) and your bike is available and optional, but at an additional charge and organised directly with the event organisers.

What mechanical support will there be?

There are a number of stationary mechanics on the route and some roaming mechanics should you need them – just a phone call away with details provided on registration.

How do I get my cycling jersey?

If you reach your minimum fundraising requirement of £150, we’ll automatically send you one of our coveting Norwood jerseys.

Just contact us with your name, address and preferred size.

How much do I need to raise?

In addition to the £55 registration fee payable directly to the event organisers, we ask that you raise a minimum of £150 for Norwood.

We recommend you start a fundraising page, it’s really easy and the funds raised come directly to us without you having to worry about anything, just click the link here to get started www.justgiving.com/start-fundraising
