Portugal: Serra de Monchique Cycle
Portugal: Serra de Monchique Cycle
Sunday 16-19 June 2024

4 days • 3.5 days cycling • 300km

Fly into Faro and enjoy the first two nights in a fabulous hotel located in the heart of the Ria Formosa national park – just 10 minutes from Tavira. It’s just a 45km warm up ride on Sunday afternoon, but on Monday, we explore the eastern part of the Algarve bordering Spain, and enjoy superb panoramic views over the mountains, the Odeleite and Beliche dams, and the Guadiana river – the natural border between Portugal and Spain.

Tuesday, we cycle the glorious Barrocal roads passing through the traditional villages of Santo Estevão, Santa Catarina, São Brás de Alportel, and Loulé before finally resting in Vilamoura. But it’s Wednesday and our day of homeward travel that we hit our highlight, Vilamoura to Vale do Lobo, through the Serra do Caldeirão and the Tour of the Algarve staple, Malhão.

Join us for 3.5 days of spectacular cycling and help us to support some of the most vulnerable in our community.
